Fort de la Chartreuse
Fort La Chartreuse is a fort founded for the defense of the Belgian city of Liège. It was built by the Dutch on the Mont Cornillon in 1817 and came into the hands of the Belgians after the Belgian Revolution in 1830.
Since 1980 the fort has been abandoned and nature has taken over. Nowadays, this abandoned fort is popular with urban explorers and is used as a photo location. The condition of the building has deteriorated since 2010 and the upper floors are not very safe to enter.
